As EAW’s third edition of collision takes a slight commercial break, the screen fades to black for a brief moment only to be followed by a mysterious countdown.
The screen immediately cuts to a montage cut promo of international wrestling superstar Ryan Rivera. A Mix of cheers fill the arena as the video plays on, which includes a picture of him as a child with his father. (who also was a wrestling superstar in several promotions in the late 70’s up to the 80’s.)
Suddenly the video cuts off abruptly followed by the sounds of footsteps. An EAW logo is shown on a single wall as Ryan Rivera steps up looking directly into the camera with a cocky grin. He wears a shirt with cut off sleeves with words that read. "THE NEW BREED" His voice rumbles through the speakers to deliver his message.
“Since my time in wrestling entertainment and every single match I’ve seen my father take a part of, i’ve noticed there are several different ways to achieve success. I’ve noticed that talent...is pointless. I’ve noticed that sheer will and determination...are useless. And being the best damn technical wrestler in this industry does not mean ONE DAMN THING!”
The crowd echoes with boos as Ryan pauses. He laughs at the reaction and presses on with his introduction the the EAW.
“Here in the EAW success is not gauged by your “wrestling ability”. I could name a few in this company who don’t know one damn thing about wrestling, but because they can resort to Singapore canes and tube lights for weapons they manage to pull out wins. So what…? They pull out another victory... so what? I could care less because NO ONE in this company has beaten me. I won’t make the same mistakes my father did. I won’t hide behind a mask my entire career. No mask, No regrets, and most important of all No Mercy. Next week I’m going to make the example, i’m going to set a new standard and show everyone what wrestling is meant to be. Starting next week nothing and no one will stop me, because MY TIME...MY TIME...MY TIME, is NOW! I am Ryan Rivera. I AM A LEGACY! I AM A CHAMPION! I AM A New Breed of athlete...and i’ve just arrived in the EAW. I dare anyone to try and prove me wrong…”
Ryan's grin only grows larger as the fans mix with both cheers and boos. He walks off screen with the camera cutting off fading to a single picture with a few simple words.
