The heels of my boots click against the concrete floor as a simple sigh falls from my lips as I stare down the vacant hallway. Since the pay per view my mind has been less…cluttered…but I can still feel her presence as I have a have a worrisome feeling that she will be showing herself again with time. Letting those thoughts leave my mind, I make my way to my locker room as I go to grab the handle, just as I grab the cold metal I hear our backstage interviewing yelling out from the end of the hall as he quickly makes his way toward me with a camera man in tow.
Danny: Chelsea, do you mind if we get a few words with you?
Chelsea: Not at all, go ahead.
He signals for the camera to start recording as he stands beside me putting on his best forced smile causing me to hide a small laugh as I set my black duffle bag down beside me.
Danny: Hello everyone out there watching! I am currently joined with EoV’s own Chelsea Armstrong, thanks for taking the time to join us today Chelsea.
Chelsea: The pleasures all mine Danny, I know there are a lot of questions out there and I’m ready to answer them.
Danny: Indeed there is and how about we get right to it, starting with possibly the easiest question we’ve been asked. Did you know that Jason was going to leave the UN when you stepped out of the ring after your match Sunday?
Chelsea: Actually Danny I didn’t, but as I’ve been asked this too, I stayed ringside because I could tell something was going to happen. It started with the handshake he offered after the match, I know this man and the look he had in his eyes…I knew there was something going on, something beyond the match we just had and I didn’t have a good feeling about it.
Danny: Could you elaborate about this feeling you said you had?
Chelsea: Well basically, it was just something I the air. You know when a storm is on the way and you can just feel the tension rising, that’s similar to how I was feeling. I could see the storm running through his eyes and my suspicions were confirmed when I saw the UN making their way down the ramp.
Danny: So you knew it wasn’t going to end well but yet you stayed, why didn’t you leave when you had the chance?
Chelsea: I will admit though there was a split second that id thought of just letting them kill him, but I mean come on…when you hear a man talking about his children and his wife…his family...are you going to just let him get hurt without least trying to help? I decided to do it and I don’t regret it at all.
Danny: Ok, moving on from Jason for a moment, during that segment we witnessed the debut of your help that you’ve been talking to for the past few weeks who turned out to be Chase Michaels. Now when you first saw him you looked a little scared, why would you be afraid of someone who was coming here to help you?
Chelsea: That’s where it gets complicated, basically we’ve had a bumpy past that hasn’t been forgotten by either side, I know how unpredictable he can be and with everything we’ve done to one another I know I have to be on edge with him.
Danny: Ok, so going back to what happened with the UN came out, you jumped into the ring and tried to help only to be singled out by Michael James and then kicked down by Tommy Rowan before Chase came in to help, do you think your past together is behind him letting them attack you before he helped?
Chelsea: Oh of course, I knew it was a long shot for him to come in right away, and when I looked over into the crowd and saw him laughing…I knew he was loving every second that I was getting attacked. He wants me to suffer for what I’ve done and I don’t blame him.
Danny: At the end of all of this he did finally enter the ring, as he cleared it leaving you and Jason to yourself before offering you Tommy’s bat…what did you make of that?
Chelsea: Honestly, I barely remember everything I saw him laughing, from the blood loss and hits I’d taken from Jason and then the hits I was taking from the UN…I admit it I was kind of out of it by the end of that attack. After watching the footage I think he was kind of taunting me with it…but I’m honestly glad I was out of it. I’m not sure what had happened if I had been all there. I think I would have probably gotten hurt worse than I had.
Danny: Going into this week, you are teaming with Jason as you go against two of the very UN members who attacked you Sunday, Michael James and Kareem al-Bashir. What are your thoughts on this match and are you at full health to compete this week?
Chelsea: Health wise I’m perfect, yeah a little brusied and battered but that’s the fun of having that type of match right? I’m not slowing down and I plan on keeping my momentum from that win going as I go into this match. As for teaming with Jason of course I’m a little leery, I’m not just going to sweep everything he’s done to me under the table, he can say everything he wants about it wasn’t personal, it was just him trying to change his image. I don’t care, he targeted me and now he’s this good guy? Yeah I helped him Sunday but that doesn’t mean I fully trust him when it comes to this match, it could easily be some sort of plot by the UN to get me alone in the ring with the three of them.
Danny: Well I know everyone is looking forward to this match, now I know we’ve been jumping around a lot tonight but one last question. Jim Hill asked it himself Sunday, how did you manage to get Chase Michaels to agree to be your help?
Chelsea: Well it definitely wasn’t easy, I tried myself and he wouldn’t even listen. So as it’s been showed I have been talking to someone on the phone about him and she managed to get through to him.
Danny: When you say she…
Chelsea: I mean his girlfriend, Vixen.
Suddenly the camera goes flying to the ground as a scream sounds through the air as Danny’s voice breaks through before hands are seen trying to pick the camera back up as they focus back to where Chelsea was standing as she’s gone. The camera moves along the wall as Chelsea is seen being pinned to the concrete wall, the view moves slowly showing it to be Chase Michaels as his forearm pushes firmly against her throat holding her tight against the wall as she desperately tries to grab at his arm. Chase looks back at the camera man and Danny with a look that causes both of them to back down and even take a few steps back. Chase turns his attention back to Chelsea who is still fighting to get free but Chase is having none of it. Giving up her arms go to her sides but her hands stay tensed as she stares into his eyes before forcing her eyes away from his own. Chase breaths heavily like a snarling wolf getting ready to attack as Chelsea takes a deep breath keeping her eyes down.
Chelsea: I know I crossed a line but…
Before Chelsea can even think another word she's cut off suddenly as Chase smashes his free leather gloved fist into the wall mere millimeters away from Chelsea's head causing her to tense again as she keeps her head down.
Chase: You don't get to mention her name... You don't have the right to allow her name to come from your lips... After everything you pulled it's by her grace and her grace alone that I don't take you and bury you alive in some unmarked grave at the side of the road...
She nods what she’s able as his forearm presses harder against her throat causing her to gasp slightly as she’s forced to look into his cold eyes.
Chelsea: I’m…I’m sorry.
Chase: You and I are way past sorry... The only reason I agreed to show up to this place is because she asked me... She risked her life just even trying to contact me... Do you understand that... Anything happens to her because of what you did... And I swear my face is the last thing you'll ever see... You understand me... You try and talk to her again... Hell you even think about about calling her... My face will be the last thing you ever see as I watch your very last breathe leave your body before I send you to see your maker... Whatever deity he or she may be...
Nodding Chelsea doesn’t even try to speak as her eyes look almost dull; leaving his gaze once again she keeps her focus on the ground as she knows he’s not one for joking about his threats.
Chase looks at Chelsea before releasing her as she drops to the floor emotionless as if she's scene a ghost or something that has scared her to her very core...
Chase looks down at her and almost snarls at her before he turns and looks at Danny and the camera man who almost literally jump out of their skins as Chase pulls his hood back up and walks away down the corridor. The camera watches him before Danny walks back over kneeling next to Chelsea.
Danny: Chelsea?
Her gaze stays locked forward as she doesn’t show any signs of moving as Danny shows his own fear as he stands up looking down the corridor before moving back to her.
Danny: Chelsea…Chelsea please say something.
The camera fades as Danny continues trying to get through to Chelsea as she stays looking at the floor.
Danny: Chelsea, do you mind if we get a few words with you?
Chelsea: Not at all, go ahead.
