The lights fade and the arena is buzzing with the excitement of the fans. The darkness is shattered by the flashing of a strobe light. A picture of Asylum appears on the jumbotron, his sinister grin an ominous specter for all who gaze upon it. The near silence is broken by the voice of a little girl.
Little Girl's Voice: Ring around the roses. Pocket full of posies. Asylum. Asylum. You're all gonna die!
The girl's voice has gone from sweet and innocent to twisted and tormented before our very ears. As soon as she utters the last syllable the raucous guitar chords beginning Monster by Skillet explode through the loud speakers.
Asylum appears from backstage wearing blue hospital pants and a tattered and stained white t-shirt. He is also wearing a restraint mask. He slowly makes his way to the ring ignoring fans as he goes. When he gets into the ring he circles it briefly, chooses the corner that has the best view of the top of the ramp and waits for his opponent, sometimes striking himself hard blows to the head as he does so.
Alignment: Heel
Personality: Asylum is sinister. He is manipulative. He is pure evil.
Gimmick: Enjoys receiving and inflicting pain. He plays mental games and tries to scare his opponents so his promos are typically done toward that end. He got into wrestling as a therapy to alleviate his aggression within the institution. The plan backfired as now his aggressive tendencies are more at the forefront and his success at a previous company has now allowed him to live on his own in hiding.
Wrestling Style: Brawler. Power wrestler
Strategy: Asylum intends to inflict as much pain on his opponents as possible, but still win the match. He isn't about showboating. He doesn't do a lot of posing for the crowd. If he sees an opening he takes advantage, but his aggression is also sometimes a weakness.
